Edinburgh

Since we were picking up our first cask at Lindores Abbey we took a trip with our wifes to Edinburgh. Mostly so that they could carry some bottles home but we dont need to tell them that.

We went to Holyrood Destillery since one of us has a cask there, very nice visitors centre and the few drams we tasted were promising. Just 1 month later they released their first whisky so we were a bit early. Very easy to get to walking distance from town centre Edinburgh.

We took a trip to Deanston on our way to Lindores and were very pleastantly surprised! We took the train to Sterling and took a taxi for 15 minutes to get there. Great warehouse tasting straight from the cask and very nice people there. Very tasty drams with the option to buy all of them after. They also had a nice cafe so if you are planning to visit you can have lunch there. Very nice shop with a great selection of whiskys, also from Bunnahabhain which has the same owners. Well worth a visit.

Our friend Gerry picked us up at Deanston and drove us to Lindores to pick up our bottles. Our friend Andy waited for us there and we were a bit laste so pretty much only had time to collect the bottles. Now all four og us have all our bottles home in Norway so now we wait patiently for the next one.
